One of the most quirky bars in a neighborhood full of them, the Upper West Side's Dead Poet was opened in 2000 by Drew Dvorkin, a former english teacher who wanted to honor the spirits of some of literatures most famous. Mark Twain, William Shakespeare and all the others would be no doubt impressed by the lengthy cocktail list, creatively offering up the "Huckleberry Finn", "Midsummer's Night Dream" and more. Oh, and Happy hour lasts from 12pm to 8pm. To go, or not to go, is really not a question.
